✿ Little spring haul ✿

To my lazy sister who has not blogged in two weeks ;)
I hope uni is starting to calm down for you!
I miss talking to you heaps! :(

Its finally starting to feel like spring!
This spring is going to be super exciting! I am turning 17, we are going to Queensland twice, we are going to a wedding and we are going to have loads of fun!

So, This weekend I went to melbourne and did a little bit of spring shopping!

First I bought this watch. Ive been looking for a watch for ages but was having heaps of trouble finding one. I decided on this watch because i liked the colours. I also like that it is rubber because it makes it comfy to wear and will probably be good for school. It was very inexpensive (which is good) but the thing that annoys me is that the three little dials on the watch face are just pretend, the hands don't move because they are glued on! hahah
But yeah I am really happy with this watch so far :)
- but before you tease me, YES I CAN TELL THE TIME NOW!

Next I bought these shorts! I am super happy with these shorts and I think they will get lots of use over the next few months! They are just high-waisted acid washed jeans from american apparel. They are super comfy and I love that they are not too long and not too short! Plusss the pockets are really deep and I can fit loads of stuff in them, I hate shorts that have fake pockets!

Next I bout this top from dotti as they were having a big sale! I really liked the colour and I think that it is just very nice and simple. It has some detail on the bottom and  a zip on the back, so it feels like a comfy tee-shirt but it is a little bit nicer. :)

Next I bought this little navy crop top. (it looks black in the picture but it is a nice blue colour) I like this crop top because it is not too short, I feel comfortable in this top with my high- waisted shorts. I also like this top with my black Asos skirt and my pink top shop skirt.

This is just my top and shorts together.

This is my little jumpsuit.
This is my jumpsuit on. I really liked the floral pattern and it is really comfortable to wear. (This photo is super embarrassing, one of my feet looks massive and the other one looks tiny! but I was too lazy to try it on again)

This is my dress for the wedding. I think that it is just pretty colours with a nice flowery print. I like the fit of this dress, I feel quite comfortable in it and it was surprisingly inexpensive!

This is the dress on. (once again an awful angle :( and what are my feet doing???)
I will need you to help me pick some shoes to go with it.
:)
:)
:)
So thats all I bought!
I hope you like what I bought, its tricky going shopping without you! :(

Ps- I know that you are supposed to say in a haul where you got everything from and how much it cost but I have forgotten how much everything cost but it was all from the basement except for the purple top which was from dotti
:)
:)

I think its funny how creepy my feet look in all of these photos, so i just thought that I should tell you that I am getting orthotics on thursday and then I won't have creepy clown feet anymore! :) -hahah sorry that was quite random?

Have you been watching Bigbrother, I haven't watched it since thursday. I haven't been liking anyone in the house. hopefully they will start evicting the icky ones and the game will become more enjoyable to watch! :)

This week is my last week of school for the term, but it is certainly going to be challenging. I have loads of homework due on monday. School ends 3 1/2 hours early on tuesday :), I'm not going to school on wednesday, I have to make a speech on thursday- I might die, I also have a maths test on matrix on thurday- i might die again, and then i finish school at 2 o'clock on friday!

So its going to be a small but challenging week for me! Especially making a speech on thursday, I am already so nervous!
I hope you have a really great week,
I love you lots and lots.
can we please talk loads this week?

Getting.A.Tad.Obsessive

Hey Abbie :)
When one door closes.. sad times ahead!
My personality is quite obsessive. If I want something, I will work til I get it. If I dislike something, I will avoid it. If I am watching a TV series, I will watch it until there is no more episodes to watch.
I avoid watching TV series often because I lose so many hours of my life in a single sitting. Having said this, I recently fell into this known trap all over again.
I was introduced to the TV series Secret diary of a call girl by one of my friends. I don’t really know why it interested me, but I did go straight home and download all 4 seasons. I then proceeded to watch them all consecutively until there was no more to watch. (Trying to justify watching it: it’s an English show so the episodes are short and there aren’t many per season).
It was fine as far as a tv series of that content goes. I laughed a bit, cringed a bit. Can’t see you liking it at all Ab, don’t even bother!
I can’t say its just TV series either. Here are a few other things that I tend to get quite obsessive about:

According to Wikipedia “People with addictive personalities are also highly at risk of becoming addicted to gambling, food, pornography, exercise, work and codependency”.
However I don’t think I need to worry about that becoming a problem for me. I just need to put the chocolate down and try and live a more balanced life!
Love you Ab, hope your week hasn’t been too flat out with school work!!

Love you as always!!

✿Ⓐⓤⓖⓤⓢⓣ Ⓕⓐⓥⓞⓤⓡⓘⓣⓔⓢ✿

Hey Jord,
It was so much fun seeing you this weekend, I miss you already!

This week I wanted to share my August favourites, I know that you're not supposed to post your favourites until the end of the month but I decided to post mine a week early!

First category-  lollies
War Heads
I am loving War heads at the moment! I used to be OBSESSED with them in primary school, I bought a packet the other day and they are so YUMMY - they taste just like they did back in yr 4!
Red skittles
I really love skittles, but I only like the red ones! the red ones are so delicious so I separate them from the rest of the packet and only eat them.

second category- clothes
My Asos skirt
I bought this skirt from ASOS and I really love it! It looks WAAAAAY better on the model than it does on me but I just think that it is a really nice and really comfortable skirt. The fabric is really thick and it sort of feels like a wetsuit.

third category- skin care
This one is by far the best! As you know we both have not the nicest combination skin. I have been using these three Jojoba oil products, they are honestly the best things ever! It is 100% Australian, It has no bad chemicals in it and it makes your skin look and feel so good! (warning, its super pricey. but each of them have lasted me over 6 months)
I love the..
100% Jojoba oil-
 http://www.thejojobacompany.com.au/skin-care/100-natural-australian-jojoba/30ml-jojoba/
This one is an oil that you can put on your face and in your hair, its super moisturising and makes your face feel so healthy!
I also use the Jojoba bead  facial cleanser,
http://www.thejojobacompany.com.au/skin-care/masks-exfoliators/jojoba-bead-bamboo-facial-exfoliant/
It is a really nice and gentle exfoliator. It feels super nice on your skin as it also has a very moisturising texture.
Lastly I love the blemish control serum. http://www.thejojobacompany.com.au/skin-care/skin-concerns/blemish-control/blemish-control-serum/
It is really nice and it totally helps control my breakouts.

fourth category- books

I absolutely loved this book (If I Stay by Gayle Forman)
I saw this movie trailer... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JDZiDhq-xk
and I was super intrigued, it wasn't really a book that I would normally read but oh-my-goodness I loved it! I woke up at 6am on saturday so that I could finish  it before you woke up, It was such a lovely book.
It was a really easy read but i loved it!

fifth category - TV
Pretty little liars
I know you hate it but I am still loving Pretty Little Liars! It is super silly and cringe worthy, but I still love it and feel sad when I miss an episode! haha, but the latest season hasn't been as good as the earlier ones!
Offspring
Its over now, but this year I loved offspring! The season finale was earlier in august, but I loved it lots and I hope its back next year!

I really loved going to Naomi's Hens party! I had so much fun hanging out with you!

seventh category-  Quotes

I don't  really know... I just liked them! :)

Eighth category - lipgloss/ lip balm/ lipstick
Baby Lips
This month I am still Obsessed with the Baby lips lipgloss. They are just so yummy and they feel so great on your lips!
Colour Boost
I also love the colour boost lip crayons by Bourjois. I have 'peach on the beach' and 'fuchsia libra' they are really pretty colours and they last for ages!

We should start planning it soon!!!

So, those are the things that I am currently loving! I'd love to hear what you are liking at the moment! Sorry I didn't proof read this, I'd much rather be watching the Lizzie McGuire movie with you!

P.s On Thursday you asked for the best consequences that I've had from change. I think that recently it has been from starting to sit with a nicer group at school.

Thanks for such a fun weekend!

Can't Wait to hear from you on thursday!

Love you lots.

Breaking.Out.Of.Your.Comfort.Zone

Hey Ab,

This week I have reflecting quite a bit on the concept of ‘breaking out of your comfort zone’. It’s scary thinking about change, but when you really think about it, it happens so frequently. I personally think change is scary but when you look back on it and note how far you’ve come, I honestly believe it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you could ever have.

(Note: I keep saying “you”, but it’s just a general statement!!)

I was reflecting on some of the change I’ve been though, for example:

-          Changing school 4 times

-          Moving house 10 times (plenty more to come)

-          Moving interstate 3 times

-          Changing degrees at uni

-          Moving out of my parents house

Whilst these are big and quite significant things, change can also be as simple as your preference in food changing- but it is important too.
Change is like the ripple effect. One small change ripples out and influences all different parts of your life. Even something as simple as changing your breakfast to a healthier option could result in you having more sustained energy and working harder in school and consequently getting better grades. Crazy, hey! I love it.

I feel I do accept change quite well but don’t be fooled; it still scares the living heck out of me. For example, I have just fallen into my study routine this semester and it is very, very busy however I know within me that I need to find a job.

As you know, I’ve got a job interview on today and I am absolutely PACKING IT!!

The thought of firstly, getting organised for an interview (what do I wear? how prepared should I be? I don’t have the time?? I’M NERVOUS!!), but then if I get the job i'll need to change my semi chaotic timetable to incorporate my work. Although on the flip side, all good things will come from working! :)

Here’s a question for you, Ab. What’s been the best result you’ve got from encountering change? I mean, it doesn’t have to be the most life changing outcome, but something you look back on and think “yeah, I’m so glad that happened” or “I’m so proud of myself for doing that”.

I’ll tell you mine next week after you’ve answered ;)

I know this is quite deep and has the potential to be scary but I am loving the possibilities. I need to make myself explore scary concept and unpack it so I can understand what is actually scaring me and how I can tackle it head on.

I am so proud of the way you've adapted to change recently. Being totally honest you've copped it pretty full on, but you're positive attitude and beautiful nature will ensure happiness- no doubts there!!

Gosh, look how much we've changed! I'd say it's for the better too ;)

Hope this hasn't been too boring. It's not the "potentially good" blog post i'd hoped to do but that one will come.. eventually.

Hope you've had a great week, Ab!

Love you lots, as I always do!!
