Getting.A.Tad.Obsessive

Hey Abbie :)
When one door closes.. sad times ahead!
My personality is quite obsessive. If I want something, I will work til I get it. If I dislike something, I will avoid it. If I am watching a TV series, I will watch it until there is no more episodes to watch.
I avoid watching TV series often because I lose so many hours of my life in a single sitting. Having said this, I recently fell into this known trap all over again.
I was introduced to the TV series Secret diary of a call girl by one of my friends. I don’t really know why it interested me, but I did go straight home and download all 4 seasons. I then proceeded to watch them all consecutively until there was no more to watch. (Trying to justify watching it: it’s an English show so the episodes are short and there aren’t many per season).
It was fine as far as a tv series of that content goes. I laughed a bit, cringed a bit. Can’t see you liking it at all Ab, don’t even bother!
I can’t say its just TV series either. Here are a few other things that I tend to get quite obsessive about:

According to Wikipedia “People with addictive personalities are also highly at risk of becoming addicted to gambling, food, pornography, exercise, work and codependency”.
However I don’t think I need to worry about that becoming a problem for me. I just need to put the chocolate down and try and live a more balanced life!
Love you Ab, hope your week hasn’t been too flat out with school work!!

Love you as always!!

✿Ⓐⓤⓖⓤⓢⓣ Ⓕⓐⓥⓞⓤⓡⓘⓣⓔⓢ✿

Hey Jord,
It was so much fun seeing you this weekend, I miss you already!

This week I wanted to share my August favourites, I know that you're not supposed to post your favourites until the end of the month but I decided to post mine a week early!

First category-  lollies
War Heads
I am loving War heads at the moment! I used to be OBSESSED with them in primary school, I bought a packet the other day and they are so YUMMY - they taste just like they did back in yr 4!
Red skittles
I really love skittles, but I only like the red ones! the red ones are so delicious so I separate them from the rest of the packet and only eat them.

second category- clothes
My Asos skirt
I bought this skirt from ASOS and I really love it! It looks WAAAAAY better on the model than it does on me but I just think that it is a really nice and really comfortable skirt. The fabric is really thick and it sort of feels like a wetsuit.

third category- skin care
This one is by far the best! As you know we both have not the nicest combination skin. I have been using these three Jojoba oil products, they are honestly the best things ever! It is 100% Australian, It has no bad chemicals in it and it makes your skin look and feel so good! (warning, its super pricey. but each of them have lasted me over 6 months)
I love the..
100% Jojoba oil-
 http://www.thejojobacompany.com.au/skin-care/100-natural-australian-jojoba/30ml-jojoba/
This one is an oil that you can put on your face and in your hair, its super moisturising and makes your face feel so healthy!
I also use the Jojoba bead  facial cleanser,
http://www.thejojobacompany.com.au/skin-care/masks-exfoliators/jojoba-bead-bamboo-facial-exfoliant/
It is a really nice and gentle exfoliator. It feels super nice on your skin as it also has a very moisturising texture.
Lastly I love the blemish control serum. http://www.thejojobacompany.com.au/skin-care/skin-concerns/blemish-control/blemish-control-serum/
It is really nice and it totally helps control my breakouts.

fourth category- books

I absolutely loved this book (If I Stay by Gayle Forman)
I saw this movie trailer... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JDZiDhq-xk
and I was super intrigued, it wasn't really a book that I would normally read but oh-my-goodness I loved it! I woke up at 6am on saturday so that I could finish  it before you woke up, It was such a lovely book.
It was a really easy read but i loved it!

fifth category - TV
Pretty little liars
I know you hate it but I am still loving Pretty Little Liars! It is super silly and cringe worthy, but I still love it and feel sad when I miss an episode! haha, but the latest season hasn't been as good as the earlier ones!
Offspring
Its over now, but this year I loved offspring! The season finale was earlier in august, but I loved it lots and I hope its back next year!

Nomes' Hens night
I really loved going to Naomi's Hens party! I had so much fun hanging out with you!

seventh category-  Quotes

I don't  really know... I just liked them! :)

Eighth category - lipgloss/ lip balm/ lipstick
Baby Lips
This month I am still Obsessed with the Baby lips lipgloss. They are just so yummy and they feel so great on your lips!
Colour Boost
I also love the colour boost lip crayons by Bourjois. I have 'peach on the beach' and 'fuchsia libra' they are really pretty colours and they last for ages!
Ninth- Stationary
Ive finally started using my Mickey Mouse notebook from DisneyLand paris! It has almost been a year since I bought it! :( it is such a lovely book and I just love writing in it!

We should start planning it soon!!!

So, those are the things that I am currently loving! I'd love to hear what you are liking at the moment! Sorry I didn't proof read this, I'd much rather be watching the Lizzie McGuire movie with you!

P.s On Thursday you asked for the best consequences that I've had from change. I think that recently it has been from starting to sit with a nicer group at school.

Thanks for such a fun weekend!

Can't Wait to hear from you on thursday!

Love you lots.

Breaking.Out.Of.Your.Comfort.Zone

Hey Ab,

This week I have reflecting quite a bit on the concept of ‘breaking out of your comfort zone’. It’s scary thinking about change, but when you really think about it, it happens so frequently. I personally think change is scary but when you look back on it and note how far you’ve come, I honestly believe it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you could ever have.

(Note: I keep saying “you”, but it’s just a general statement!!)

I was reflecting on some of the change I’ve been though, for example:

-          Changing school 4 times

-          Moving house 10 times (plenty more to come)

-          Moving interstate 3 times

-          Changing degrees at uni

-          Moving out of my parents house

Whilst these are big and quite significant things, change can also be as simple as your preference in food changing- but it is important too.
Change is like the ripple effect. One small change ripples out and influences all different parts of your life. Even something as simple as changing your breakfast to a healthier option could result in you having more sustained energy and working harder in school and consequently getting better grades. Crazy, hey! I love it.

I feel I do accept change quite well but don’t be fooled; it still scares the living heck out of me. For example, I have just fallen into my study routine this semester and it is very, very busy however I know within me that I need to find a job.

As you know, I’ve got a job interview on today and I am absolutely PACKING IT!!

The thought of firstly, getting organised for an interview (what do I wear? how prepared should I be? I don’t have the time?? I’M NERVOUS!!), but then if I get the job i'll need to change my semi chaotic timetable to incorporate my work. Although on the flip side, all good things will come from working! :)

Here’s a question for you, Ab. What’s been the best result you’ve got from encountering change? I mean, it doesn’t have to be the most life changing outcome, but something you look back on and think “yeah, I’m so glad that happened” or “I’m so proud of myself for doing that”.

I’ll tell you mine next week after you’ve answered ;)

I know this is quite deep and has the potential to be scary but I am loving the possibilities. I need to make myself explore scary concept and unpack it so I can understand what is actually scaring me and how I can tackle it head on.

I am so proud of the way you've adapted to change recently. Being totally honest you've copped it pretty full on, but you're positive attitude and beautiful nature will ensure happiness- no doubts there!!

Gosh, look how much we've changed! I'd say it's for the better too ;)

Hope this hasn't been too boring. It's not the "potentially good" blog post i'd hoped to do but that one will come.. eventually.

Hope you've had a great week, Ab!

Love you lots, as I always do!!

✿ My Bucket list ✿

Hey Jord,
Thankyou for your cute post on thursday, I loved it!
Also, thanks for being the best sister in the whole wide world, especially last week, I don't know what I would do without you!!!

This week I wanted to share my bucket list with you,
I keep my bucket list in my very most special diary from +kikki.K .
Funny story about this notebook; Once we were shopping at westfeild together, I was taking to long looking in kikki.k so you went to wait outside. The sales lady started talking to me and almost forced me to buy this book and being me I could not say no. I felt very guilty for buying this notebook as it was VERY pricey, so I only let myself write special things in it.
I promise, it is a much nicer colour than it looks in this photo!!

So, as you know I am a big fan of bucket lists. I wrote my bucket list last year but was recently rereading it and tweaking it.

So far I have only ticked of a few things from my bucket list, but every single one was done with you!
The things that I have been able to tick of my bucket list were…

1-     Ombre my hair like Zoellas. I’m sure you remember this event, we went to the hairdressers together and both got our hair done. I got blonde put at the bottom and you got brown at the top, for the first time ever we had the same hair! But I hated my hair and made mum take me to another hairdresser the next day to make it all brown again, your hair looked lovely but you went back blonde in a couple of months! Oops, it least I can laugh about it now! Hahaha

2-     The second thing that you helped me tick of my bucket list was meeting a Youtuber. I remember sitting in a hotel in Rome talking to you over facebook, I almost had a heart attack when you said that Carrie hope fletcher was having a concert whilst we were in London and that you had gotten us tickets! That was such a funny night, meeting both Alex Day and Carrie hope fletcher. I remember forcing you to talk to Alex because I was too shy and then me accidently insulting him by not knowing what Sopio cards were.

3-     The next one we ticked off wasn’t very exciting; it was just going on a big water slide. We ticked that one off on the 45-degree day when we went to the water park in Geelong and went on the big water slides!

4-     After this we ticked off being in a TV studio Audience. It was actually so much fun being in the audience of The Project. I loved seeing the set, the people, watching what happened in the ad breaks and just being there in real life. I can’t really remember what happened but I remember that I made you burst out laughing in the elevator full of people and everyone thought we were idiots! That was a fun night! J

sorry about the instagram screenshot, it was the only photo i could find from that day!

5-     The last thing that we have ticked off my Bucket list was going to the harry potter studios! I don’t really even know what to say about this day, it was just the best day ever! You were so sick, you had a chest infection or something and I was really worried that you were not going to be able to come! But you pulled through, came with me and made the bestest day of my whole life!

So jordy, thankyou for helping me tick 5 things of my bucketlist, I wouldn’t have been able to do any of those without you. We should get started on the rest; I don’t want to do them without you!

1.     See the northern lights
2.     Ride in a hot air balloon
3.     Climb the Sydney harbour bridge
4.     Go on a safari in Africa
5.     Go backpacking for a few months

11.  Ride an elephant
12.  See a shooting star
13.  Help a homeless person
14.  Donate blood (maybe I will do that one without you, I don’t want you to pass out!)
15.  Go on a mission trip
16.  Go zip lining
17.  Feed a giraffe
18.  Go to India
19.  Swim with dolphins
20.  Be in America for Halloween
21.  Watch the Olympics live
22.  Get a university degree
23.  Live overseas

27.  Be a brides maid at someones wedding (YOURS)
28.  Name a star after me
29.  Sleep in a tree house
30.  Help someone and actually make a difference
31.  Rescue a dog and give it the best life
32.  Get my drivers licence
33.  Have my own home library

36.  Have friends all over the world
37.  Do some thing that scares me

So that is my current bucket list!
I think i need to change it, what would you recommend me adding or getting rid of?
Do you have a bucket list? – I would love to see it!
What should we do next?

Love you, cant wait to hear from you on Thursday!
OH WAIT-  I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON FRIDAY! xxxx
